Hilton Head has some 12 miles of white sand beaches that
embrace the Atlantic Ocean. There are several public beaches
for general access with the main two:
Coligny Beach
The busiest beach area fis the Coligny Beach area located
at the south end of the island. Coligny offers plenty
of parking space for visitors ($4.00 and $2.00 after 2
PM) along with numerous shops and eateries. In addition,
there are restrooms, water fountains, showers to remove
sand, pay telephones etc..
Folly Field Beach
Folly Field beach is located in the middle of Island off
Folly Field Road. Parking is more limited than at the
Coligny location however there are restrooms and showers
available.
